For digital nomads & remote workers

A quiet place to actually get work done, then go be outside

Not a coworking lounge, not a branded "nomad community" — a private, family-owned condo with a real desk, a full kitchen, and your own laundry, on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe. Work the week, then ski, hike or hit the beach depending on the season. 28 nights minimum, and most people end up staying longer.

Why it's not a branded "nomad space"

A real desk and a quiet condo beat a shared lounge

A lot of "digital nomad friendly" listings turn out to mean a shared common room with other people's calls, kids and dogs going on around you — and no actual kitchen or laundry once you arrive. This is the opposite: your own loft desk, in a condo you don't share with strangers, with a full kitchen so you can cook properly instead of living out of takeout containers for a month.

High-speed wifi runs throughout the condo, and the loft is set apart from the main living area, so you can take a call without the rest of the household needing to go quiet. On days you'd rather work somewhere else entirely, Untethered Workspace in nearby Zephyr Cove offers desks, private offices and fibre internet.

Cook, wash, repeat

The unglamorous amenities that actually matter for a month away

A full kitchen with a double fridge/freezer and dishwasher means you can shop and cook like you would at home, instead of eating out every night on a month-long stay. In-unit washer and dryer mean you can pack light and not hunt for a laundromat between calls.

The rhythm of staying a month or more

Work the week, then let the season take over

This condo doesn't take bookings under 28 nights — and most remote workers who stay this long weren't looking for a short trip anyway. If it's working for you, extending month to month is usually possible; just check in with Kim or through Airbnb before your dates run out so the next block is held for you.

When the laptop's closed, Heavenly's Stagecoach and Boulder Lodges are a 5-minute drive away for a ski afternoon in winter, the nearest Lake Tahoe beach is about ten minutes away in summer, and quieter hiking trails fill spring and fall. It's a quiet, residential corner of the South Shore, away from the casino strip — good for focus during the week, and just as good for actually switching off on the weekend.

What remote workers tell us matters

Built around how nomads actually work, not how listings market to them

  • Quiet over forced community

No shared coworking lounge, no organized events you have to opt out of — just a quiet condo where you set your own hours.

  • A desk, not a laptop-on-the-bed setup

The loft is a genuine workspace, separate from where the household eats and relaxes, with high-speed wifi throughout.

  • Room for a partner or family too

Sleeps up to 8 across 3 bedrooms plus a loft — this works as well for a couple or a family working remotely as it does for one person.

  • Straightforward booking

Booked and paid through Airbnb, with clear house rules up front — no separate lease paperwork or surprise fees to untangle.

Questions remote workers ask

Is this a coworking or coliving space?

No. It's a private, family-owned condo, not a branded coliving space with shared work lounges or organized events. If you want a quiet place to actually focus during the week and a full kitchen and laundry to yourself, that's what this is built for.

Can I extend my stay month to month?

Yes, subject to availability. Many remote workers book the 28-night minimum and then extend once they're settled in. Message Kim through Airbnb to check availability before your current stay ends.

Can I bring a partner or work here with my family?

Yes. The condo sleeps up to 8 across 3 bedrooms plus a loft, so it works as well for a couple or a family working remotely together as it does for one person. The loft workspace is separate from the main living area, so one person can be on a call while the rest of the household carries on.
