Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 August 2026
This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why it is collected, and what you can do about it. It covers this website only. If you book through Airbnb, Airbnb's own privacy policy also applies to that booking, and it applies fully if you contact Kimberly by phone or email — that conversation happens between you and her directly, not through this website.
1. Who we are
This site is run by the owners of South Shore Tahoe Condo, a privately owned holiday condo in Stateline, Nevada. For any privacy question or request, use the contact details in section 13 below.
2. What personal information we collect
This website does not have a contact form, a booking system, or any way to submit your details to it. Questions about a stay go through Airbnb messaging (see the Bookings page), which is handled by Airbnb under its own privacy policy — this website never sees or stores it.
The only information the site itself can collect is:
- Analytics, only if you accept it: if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about your visit — pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site.
- Your cookie choice: your accept/reject decision is stored in your own browser so you are not asked again on every page.
- Standard server logs: like almost every website, the hosting provider automatically logs basic technical details of each visit (such as IP address and time of request) for security and reliability. These logs are not linked to any name or booking.
- The Area page only: that page embeds a Google Map, which loads automatically as part of the page rather than being gated by the cookie banner. Google may set its own cookies and process your IP address when that page loads, under Google’s own privacy policy — not this site’s.
We do not collect payment details anywhere on this site. All payments are handled by Airbnb.
3. How we use it
Analytics data, when you've allowed it, is used only to understand which pages people find useful, so the site can be improved. We do not sell or share your information for money or for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not run a mailing list.
4. Legal basis (visitors from the UK and EU)
Where UK or EU data protection law applies to your visit, the processing this site itself carries out is analytics (legal basis: your consent, withdrawable at any time through Cookie settings) and, on the Area page only, the Google Maps embed (legal basis: legitimate interest — showing a map is the actual content of that page, in the same way it would be on a printed brochure).
5. Who we share it with
- Google (Google Analytics, via gtag.js) — only once you have accepted analytics cookies.
- Google (Google Maps) — automatically, but only if you visit the Area page.
- Vercel Inc. (our website host, vercel.com) — hosts the site and keeps the standard server logs described above.
We do not share information with anyone else unless legally required to. If you message Kimberly through Airbnb, what you tell her is between the two of you — this policy does not cover that conversation.
6. International transfers
The site and its analytics provider are based in the United States. If you visit from outside the US, the technical details described above are processed and stored in the United States.
7. How long we keep it
Analytics data is retained for the period set in Google Analytics, which is 14 months. Server logs are kept only as long as the hosting provider's own standard practice, typically a matter of weeks.
8. Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us what analytics information exists about your visits, or ask us to stop collecting it — the quickest way is simply to reject analytics cookies in Cookie settings. For any other privacy question, use the contact details in section 13 and we will respond as quickly as we can.
- California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and the right to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA.
- Nevada residents have the right under Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A to tell us not to sell their covered information. We do not sell it.
- UK and EU visitors also have the rights to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to complain to a supervisory authority.
9. Cookies
Full detail of every cookie this site can set, and how to change your choice, is in our Cookie Policy.
10. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, so any connection to it is encrypted in transit. Because there is no form or database on the site, there is no stored record of personal information for a security breach to expose.
11. Children
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
13. Contact
Questions about this policy, or about anything on this site: message the host through the Airbnb listing.
