For extended family visits
A home base for the whole family, not a hotel room each
When you're visiting family in Lake Tahoe for weeks rather than days — settling in after a move, supporting a relative, or just finally taking the long summer you've been putting off — you need somewhere everyone can actually live together. Three bedrooms, a loft, three bathrooms, a full kitchen and in-unit laundry, for stays of 28 nights or more.
- 8Guests, one household
- 3Bedrooms + loft, 7 beds
- 3Bathrooms
- 28Nights, minimum stay
- 1,800+Square feet
Room to actually live, not just sleep
Everyone under one roof, with space to spread out
A month-long family stay only works if people aren't tripping over each other. Here, grandparents can have the main-floor bedroom, parents and kids can take the loft or the second bedroom, and everyone still shares one kitchen table and one living room with a gas fireplace — instead of two or three separate hotel rooms and a lobby.
The kitchen is fully equipped for real family cooking, not reheating takeout, and the in-unit washer and dryer mean nobody has to pack for a month or find a laundromat.
“We were two families with 4 kids and this was our first time to Tahoe… The house is impeccably maintained, has a great view and has plenty of space for the kids.”
Why not a hotel
The math (and the sanity) of staying a month
Two or three hotel rooms a night, every meal out, and a suitcase that never gets unpacked adds up fast over 28 nights — in cost and in patience. One condo with a real kitchen, real bedrooms and its own laundry lets a family settle in properly: cook the meals you'd cook at home, keep kids or grandparents to a normal routine, and actually rest between whatever brought you here in the first place.
It's also a quiet, residential corner of the South Shore, away from the casino strip, which matters when you've got a range of ages under one roof and everyone wants a different pace of evening.
What families tell us matters most
Built around how a family actually spends a month
-
Separate space, shared space
Bedrooms and bathrooms spread across three floors give every generation somewhere to retreat to, while the kitchen and living room keep everyone together for meals and evenings.
-
A real kitchen
Cook properly for a family, keep to normal diets and routines, and skip the restaurant bill that a month of eating out would otherwise run up.
-
No stairs battle at the front door
Easier access than a lot of Tahoe condos, which matters for a visit that includes grandparents, young kids, or both.
-
Something for every age, every season
Skiing at Heavenly, a 5-minute drive to Stagecoach and Boulder Lodges, in winter, the nearest Lake Tahoe beach about ten minutes away in summer, and quiet hiking trails in spring and fall.
Questions families ask
Is this condo good for an extended family visit?
Yes. It sleeps up to 8 across 3 bedrooms plus a loft and 3 bathrooms, with a full kitchen and in-unit laundry, so a family can actually live together for a month rather than squeeze into hotel rooms and eat out every night. The 28-night minimum means it's set up for a real visit, not a weekend.
Can grandparents, parents and grandchildren all stay together comfortably?
Yes. There are three bedrooms plus a loft with its own bedroom and a double futon, three bathrooms, and separate living space on multiple floors, so different generations can each have some privacy while still sharing a kitchen and living room.
Do we need to book for exactly 28 nights?
No — 28 nights is the minimum, not a fixed length. Families often book for a month or two around a specific reason to gather, such as a summer break, a ski season visit, or supporting a relative for a while. Contact Kim to talk through your dates.
